Vintage Thrift Toughens Up for New York Magazine

There's a double dose of Vintage Thrift in last week's New York Magazine.

Look closely at the bottom right, and you'll spot staffer (and sometimes model) Ilana S. representing us in the coolest leather t-shirt combed from our racks-- even we can't resist a great find every once in a while!

What about you? Do you have any great Vintage Thrift finds? Send your pics to vintagethriftnyc@gmail.com for a chance to be featured on the blog!

Updates! Vintage Thrift will be appearing in this week's "The High Low Project"

Remember this? Well, we just received word that Vintage Thrift will be appearing in this week's episode of HGTV's new series "The High Low Project." The episode follows interiors designer Sabrina Soto as she shows homeowner Danielle Arceneaux how to get the living room of her dreams on a minimal budget. How exciting!

"The High Low Project" airs Sundays at 8:30 pm EST, so be sure to have your remote (or DVR) ready!

Vintage Thrift Receives Rave Reviews from Blogger and New York News Station

When it rains, it pours . . . and so far this month has been full of showers! While it's been sopping wet outdoors,  it's been pouring praise inside our humble storefront. Click the following links to read two recent reviews from savvy shopping blog Thrift Store Confidential and local news station CBS New York.

We're positively thrilled to be featured by these two great resources. If these are our April showers, we can't wait to see what sort of May flowers they'll  bring!

Model Coco Rocha Loves Vintage Thrift

Coco Rocha illustration by Lyndon Hayes, via NYMag

We love the fact that industry insiders--designers, models, celebrities and stylists alike--consider us their secret little hot spot. In this week's New York magazine, top model Coco Rocha gives us a shout out as one of her go-to retro stops.

You might recognize the Canadian beauty from her high-end ad campaigns (think Chanel, Dior, Lanvin, D&G etc) or her many mag covers, like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Dazed & Confused and Numero.

Earlier in the week, we spotted not one, not two, but THREE buzz worthy models perusing our aisles. There must be something in the water.
