Shopper's Delight: Something Old, Something New Goes Off Without a Hitch

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our vintage dress and bridal gown event last Thursday.

A queue of customers wait patiently for the doors to open.

As our first big to-do in years (the last being the Chloe Sevigny/Kenneth Jay Lane jewelry bazaar), we had no idea what to expect. Imagine how psyched we were to see the line extending down the block!

Shoppers take delight in all the bits and baubles.

We feared the worst--clawing bridezillas and clamoring antique dealers ripping dresses, and each other, apart. Thankfully, there were no catfights to report.

Piles of vintage dresses grew taller than their wearers.

Ryan Watt puts the finishing touches on the accessories bar.

Vintage dresses!

A charming tiered display by resident jewelry expert Lilly Cohen.

And since we're not ones to leave you hanging, both bridal and vintage dresses will remain on the floor until Friday, April 30.

Any unsold wedding dresses will be donated to MADRE, a program that fulfills the needs of women and children in Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. The silk, lace and tulle gowns will be dismantled and used for fabric yardage.
